If you have or are connected to some kind of “broadband” Internet connection, such as cable or DSL, your network is most likely called “Local Area Connection”.
Open the “Advanced” tab and select “Settings”.
Press the “Off” button (radio not recommended).
Windows Firewall settings can also be hacked using a simple shortcut in a dedicated Run dialog or command line. Just enter this command: Regulation Firewall.cpl.
